Job Purpose

  • The Senior Project Cost Control Specialist is responsible for managing estimation, cost control, and the tendering process during the post-contract award phase of construction projects until project completion.


Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities. Review and finalize tender documentation for multiple projects to ensure accuracy in financial projections.
  • Oversee the analysis of bids and establishment of unit rates, ensuring accurate tender finalization in alignment with project goals. Validate cost breakdowns to support decision-making in tender awards.
  • Evaluate variation orders and extra work claims, offering expertise in budget adjustments. Collaborate in the preparation of project budgets, providing detailed cost assessments for senior management.
  • Conduct thorough cost analyses for Fit-Out and Finishing work items, ensuring precision in estimations for projects. Drive cost management strategies to optimize project efficiency and minimize financial risk.
  • Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks, ensuring proactive mitigation strategies are in place. Lead efforts to reduce the impact of potential financial risks on the project.
  • Represent the cost control team in pre-tender meetings, submitting regular financial reports to stakeholders. Lead evaluations of budgets pre- and post-tender to ensure robust cost control across all project phases.
  • Oversee site investigations for estimation purposes, ensuring assumptions made during the estimation process are validated. Liaise with relevant teams to adjust estimates based on real-time data.
  • Establish and maintain a CAPEX database for various brands, categorized by location and country, to streamline cost tracking and reporting.
  • Perform functional supervisory tasks, including work planning, task assignment, monitoring quality, and meeting deadlines. Train and mentor junior team members, providing performance feedback. Act as a liaison between the team and upper management, communicating needs and progress effectively.


Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Four to six years of experience in a similar role.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, project scheduling software (MS Project or other) and AutoCAD.
