Role Overview

The Senior Product Director is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and executing the 
product vision, strategy, and roadmap across the organisation. You will own the full product lifecycle; 
from discovery to delivery to commercial success, ensuring the product delivers measurable value to 
customers and the business.

You will lead, mentor, and develop the Product function while working closely with the Executive Team, Technology, Commercial, Operations, and Customer teams. A key focus of this role is developing a clear product strategy, translating it into actionable plans, and ensuring exceptional execution in an agile, fast-paced startup environment.

You will combine strategic thinking with a hands on approach, shaping product direction while also rolling up your sleeves when needed to refine product 
requirements, prioritise development, and support critical launches.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition, communication, and execution of the product strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with company goals, growth priorities, and market direction.

  • Define clear product objectives, KPIs, and success metrics and ensure these are tracked, reviewed, and used to inform data-driven decisions.

  • Prioritise initiatives and manage the product backlog to balance customer value, commercial outcomes, and technical feasibility.

  • Oversee the full product lifecycle, including discovery, validation, design, development, launch, iteration, and optimisation.

  • Develop high-quality product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that clearly communicate scope, value, and expected outcomes.

  • Partner closely with the Technology team to drive efficient delivery, ensuring timelines, dependencies, and resource allocation are well-managed.

  • Build a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points, behaviours, and use cases through continuous discovery and research.

  • Identify and execute opportunities to improve adoption, engagement, satisfaction, retention, and overall product performance.

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of product launches, ensuring operational readiness across internal teams.

  • Represent the company in key customer, partner, and stakeholder conversations to gather insights and strengthen relationships.

  • Lead, mentor, and support Product team members, ensuring clarity of ownership, high performance, and continuous development.

  • Foster a product culture grounded in experimentation, evidence-based decision-making, and customer-centric thinking.

  • Establish and maintain strong product governance, ensuring quality standards, risk management, and compliance with regulatory requirements where applicable.

Requirements

  • 10 + years of product leadership experience, with a minimum of 7 years within B2B SaaS/Fintech.

  • Proven experience owning product strategy and roadmap at company or business-unit level.

  • Strong track record of successfully launching and scaling SaaS products.

  • Solid understanding of software development processes and agile methodologies.

  • Demonstrated experience in fintech is highly desirable.

  • Experience working with accounting, payments, or expense management platforms is an advantage.

  • Hands-on experience with Jira or similar product management tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field (MBA advantageous).
