Job Description

The Senior Procurement Executive is a vital role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the procurement strategy and managing the acquisition of goods and services. As a Senior Procurement Executive, you will work closely with various departments to ensure that all procurement activities are effectively managed and aligned with the company's budget and strategic goals. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively. Your role will also involve analyzing market trends, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with internal and external policies. You will be expected to lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and direction to achieve optimum procurement outcomes.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an effective procurement strategy aligned with company objectives.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous pricing and contract terms.
  • Establish and maintain robust supplier relationships to ensure high-quality, cost-effective supplies.
  • Conduct market analysis to stay informed about emerging market trends and prices.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to manage procurement processes across various departments.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational procurement policies and industry regulations.
  • Monitor and assess supplier performance to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Work collaboratively with finance to track and adhere to budgetary constraints.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and practices.
  • Prepare comprehensive and detailed procurement reports for executive management review.
  • Develop and deliver procurement-related training and workshops for internal stakeholders.
  • Handle high-level procurement negotiations for complex projects and agreements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a procurement or supply chain role.
  • Demonstrated experience in vendor management and contract negotiations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
