We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer specializing in Electrical & Instrumentation for our dynamic global team. As a Senior Procurement Engineer, you will lead our procurement activities by strategically sourcing, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective acquisition of electrical and instrumentation components. You'll collaborate closely with engineering and project teams to align on specifications, delivery timelines, and quality standards. This position requires a deep understanding of procurement practices, engineering processes, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Your expertise in contract negotiations and vendor management will be essential in supporting our organization’s growth and efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Lead the procurement activities for electrical and instrumentation components, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to meet project and organizational objectives.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve cost reductions and service improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to understand technical specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in procurement processes.
  • Monitor and report on market trends, competitor actions, and supplier market conditions.
  • Oversee supplier performance through regular evaluations and audits.
  • Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing with suppliers effectively and promptly.
  • Maintain documentation and records of purchase orders and procurement activities.
  • Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies associated with procurement activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement focusing on electrical and instrumentation.
  • Proven experience with contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems is highly desirable.
