Senior Planning Assistant - Production Planning

Job Purpose

The Production Planning department at Emirates Engineering plays a pivotal role in getting all the required maintenance done in the most efficient manner. Utilizing advanced planning tools, in depth technical reviews and collaborating closely with various teams, we ensure smooth maintenance operations, minimizing downtime and maximizing aircraft availability. Our focus is on maintaining high safety and efficiency standards while adapting to the airline’s dynamic requirements.

To accomplish core functional planning tasks, within the production planning & control group, including, Aircraft Maintenance & Workshops. Ensuring the continuing support of these functions, whilst delivering to the business, technical and production outputs required, to ensure that the Emirates Fleet of aircraft are maintained to the highest standards, in line with all requirements pertaining to the functional area. To assist the team to ensure accomplishment of all planned and non-routine activities on time, in budget and to the quality and safety standards expected.

In This Role, You Will

• Support the delivery of Production Planning activities for Aircraft Maintenance working with the PPEs & PPOs, to ensure the service is meeting agreed SLA.
• Follow processes in all planning and control phases of the maintenance input, including workpack production and workpack closure and control.
• Support the delivery of Production Planning activities for Overhaul Workshops, working with the shop PPEs & PPOs, to ensure the service meets agreed SLA
• Ensure the planning process is delivering SSS/Task 2 parts to Aircraft Maintenance per agreed timelines though appropriate planning in the shop. Simultaneously ensure that minimum stock levels are maintained for components as agreed with Materials Management and/or as directed by the Shop PPE.
• Support the delivery of Production Planning activities for Overhaul Workshops, not limited to, but including : Creation of Work orders, Coordinating with MS/SDG/GSE/Facility for materials / tools requirement for maintenance tasks, Control and monitoring of incoming US Items and items awaiting for Parts or ETS input (US/AP Room) & Maintain housekeeping in PPC working areas.
• Liaise with Good Inwards for resolution of SDR?s. Coordinate with Binning Team, thru SDG for disposal of hazardous materials.
• Support assigned section/areas, by ensuring that all work assigned is carried out diligently, accurately and in good time, ensuring that all SLAs are met by the section. Support to create reports and supporting documentation, to enable accomplishment of Adhoc requests and customer support.
• Participate and contribute to projects and planning activities that continuously improve the product delivered by the department.
• Support the delivery of the PPC function within Budget, ensuring you have a cost conscious mind-set.
• Under the direction of the PPE/PPO, work with 145 production teams to reduce the cost of maintenance across all categories; Labour, Materials & other costs.
• Support the Safety and Compliance of the PPC teams deliverables, ensuring adherence with EPM's and Work Instructions.
• Engage in the Performance Management process and ensure you are actively engaged in achieving 100% of the planned Objectives and Development Plans. Ensure continuous developing and provide the department with a benefit from the training and development effort.
  
  

Qualification

To Be Considered For This Role, You Will Need

• 12 Years schooling or equivalent
• Good understanding of Aircraft documentation and records including AMM, IPC, CMM?s, Work Packages and Maintenance Schedules.
• Engineering experience- In Production Planning, Aircraft Maintenance, Workshops, Maintenance Planning, Technical Records or a related environment..
• Knowledge of MS Office applications i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of ULTRAMAIN is an advantage
