Senior Piping Designer

As a Senior Piping Designer, you will be responsible for leading the piping design team in developing detailed designs and layouts for various industrial projects. Your primary duties will include creating piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), 3D models, and isometric drawings using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and CADWorx. You will collaborate closely with engineers and other designers to ensure that piping systems meet project specifications, codes, and standards. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in piping design, a strong understanding of piping materials and specifications, and the ability to provide technical guidance to junior designers. A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop piping and equipment layouts in accordance with project specifications and codes.
• Create detailed piping drawings, isometrics, and material take-offs.
• Coordinate with engineering team to ensure design accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Perform piping stress analysis and support design.
• Review and approve vendor documents and drawings.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior designers and drafters.
• Monitor project schedule and budget to ensure timely delivery of piping design deliverables.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Resolve piping design issues and discrepancies during construction phase.
• Conduct site visits and inspections as needed to support project execution.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Significant experience as a Piping Designer in the engineering industry
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, CADWorx, and other relevant design software
• Strong knowledge of piping design standards and codes
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
