  • Manage the entire process of outward and inward cheques clearing as per established procedures and timelines.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all outgoing and incoming cheques, verifying signatures, endorsements, and other necessary information.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to cheque clearing.
  • Monitor and reconcile clearing accounts on a daily basis to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactions.
  • Implement fraud prevention measures and controls to safeguard against unauthorized or fraudulent cheque activities.
  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry best practices pertaining to cheque clearing processes.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior staff members on cheque clearing procedures and protocols.
  • Generate reports and maintain records related to cheque clearing activities for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Act as a point of contact for customers and address any queries or concerns related to cheque processing.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to enhance and automate cheque clearing processes for efficiency and accuracy.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in banking operations, specifically in outward and inward cheques clearing.
  • Strong knowledge of banking procedures and regulations related to cheque processing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using banking software and systems for cheque clearing processes.
