Job Description

As a Senior Merchandiser, you will play a critical role in driving our retail company towards achieving its strategic goals. Responsibilities

  • Analyze market trends and customer preferences to forecast future sales performance.
  • Collaborate with design and product development teams to ensure product alignment with target markets.
  • Manage inventory levels effectively to meet customer demands without overstocking.
  • Plan and execute seasonal and promotional merchandise plans and activities.
  • Oversee the visual merchandising standards across all retail outlets to enhance product appeal.
  • Maintain robust relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
  • Conduct regular store visits to assess product displays and gather market intelligence.
  • Manage merchandising team activities, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Analyze sales and inventory reports to make data-driven decisions for product strategies.
  • Coordinate closely with marketing teams to align merchandising campaigns with brand messaging.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on merchandising strategy effectiveness and business impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a merchandising role within the retail industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data effectively.
  • Proven experience in inventory management and sales forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of merchandising software and retail management systems.
  • Ability to travel to various store locations and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
