Job Summary

Senior mechanical Technician should be able to complete jobs & tasks assigned to him by the supervisor/manager, within the required time frame. He should be able to read and interpret technical drawings, determine the appropriate assembly tools and technics to be used to complete the job as per the specifications provided in the Work Order package issued. He should be actively participating and contributing to manufacturing/commissioning activities and should ensure they are completed on time and in an HSE compliant work environment. He should also be able to train junior mechanical technician and support them in day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand the WO for the job assigned.
• Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job.
• Assemble the job as per the specifications provided in the Work Order package issued.
• Update and maintain documents required for relevant work orders.
• Notify supervisor for any mistakes or as built changes required.
• Conduct hydrostatic tests or FAT of completed jobs — Only if authorized to do, at designated areas.
• Maintain tools and equipment always in a good condition.
• Report to the cell leader immediately any machine problem or accident.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the workshop as per 5S.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.
• Perform any kind of tasks/duties as requested by the cell leader.
• To be available for field service trips if required and for other activities requested by the management.
  
  

• Communicates well and works in harmony with the management, peers, staff and clients.
• Has the ability to develop systematic and organized working atmosphere.
• Take criticism and feedback well as an opportunity to improve and follows through suggestions.
  
  

• Basic knowledge of assembly technics and tools
• Min. 2 years of experience as a Mechanical technician
• Able to read and understand hydraulic schematics/electrical schematics/engineering drawings
• Fluent in English (both verbal and written)
  
  

• Technical training Certificate
• High School Diploma
• Experience in Mechanical installation
• Familiar with NOV K-Winch/WPCE/WHE products
