Senior Mechanical Inspector

Job Description

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in mechanical inspection or site engineering within construction
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting and mechanical installation standards
• Experience managing inspection and testing processes for mechanical systems
• UAE experience preferred
  
  

• Lead the inspection of mechanical installations, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications
• Review and approve contractor method statements, shop drawings and material submittals for mechanical works
• Oversee testing and commissioning activities for mechanical systems and equipment
• Manage the identification and resolution of mechanical non-conformances
• Supervise and mentor mechanical inspectors on site
• Coordinate with design teams to resolve mechanical technical queries and site issues
• Prepare mechanical inspection and progress reports for project management and clients
• Support the verification of mechanical materials and equipment against approved specifications
• Monitor contractor compliance with health and safety requirements during mechanical works
