Alucor is looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our power plant projects team in the UAE.
You'll own the mechanical scope across the full project cycle - from document review and procurement support through vendor management, site installation, and pre-commissioning.
What you'll do:
🔧 Review vendor documents, datasheets, GA drawings, P&IDs and ITPs
📋 Prepare scopes of work, RFQ packages, BOQs and material take-offs
🔍 Run technical bid evaluations and vendor compliance reviews
🏭 Support site installation of equipment and piping - method statements, punch lists, coordination
🛠️ Follow up vendor engineering, manufacturing, FATs and inspections
📐 Support pre-commissioning: flushing, hydrotesting and handover documentation
What we're looking for:
✅ B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
✅ 7+ years in EPC / power plant / oil & gas projects
✅ Power plant construction site experience essential
✅ Hands-on with rotating equipment, static equipment, valves & piping systems
✅ Strong vendor management experience (bid evaluation, expediting, FAT)
✅ Proficient in P&IDs, isometrics and GA drawings
✅ UAE/GCC project experience preferred
💰 Salary: AED 12,000 – 20,000 per month
