Job Description

The Senior Mechanical Engineer (04N25) is a key player in leading and overseeing complex mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion. This role requires a deep understanding of mechanical systems, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other engineers and stakeholders. The individual will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems and components, using advanced engineering techniques. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will also mentor junior engineers and ensure all projects meet safety, quality, and performance standards. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in mechanical engineering principles, a knack for innovation, and experience in managing interdisciplinary projects.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and timely delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations and simulations to validate designs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all projects.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure material and service quality.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation to support engineering decisions.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in mechanical engineering practices.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance design quality.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
  • At least 8 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale engineering projects successfully.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
