Key Responsibilities
In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
Own and deliver on fulfillment metrics Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost & Culture (SQDCC) through effective leadership of the cell’s daily operations.
Lead and develop a cross-functional team of operations leaders, methods engineers, and quality engineers, driving accountability, capability building, and team engagement.
Own execution of the cell’s operational and transformation roadmap in alignment with plant priorities, including capacity expansion, process improvement, and capability development.
Onboard, and develop talent by providing clear direction, coaching, and continuous leadership to ensure team capability, engagement, and alignment with business goals.
Mentor and coach teams on Lean principles, problem solving, and continuous improvement culture.
Maintain and optimize cell capacity, manpower planning, and scheduling to meet customer demands.
Govern variable cost expenditure to ensure financial metrics are met and follow business objectives.
Partner to deliver the yearly budget planning and preparation for the plant’s roadmap.
Manage customers’ relationships and technical queries in partnership with engineering, services and project management teams.
Facilitate and lead Kaizen events focused on cost-out, lead time reduction, safety, and process flow improvements.
Lead Daily Management System (DMS) deployment and rigor across the cell, ensuring adherence, problem escalation, and effective performance management.
Support New Product Introduction(NPI) and CAPEX planning related to the gas capitals cell.
Maintain a continuous improvement pipeline, track implementation progress, and deliver measurable impact including productivity cost-out and Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) reduction.
Act as the interface with the fulfilment & materials team to ensure the cell’s production loading and material availability are meeting customer requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a engineering field or relevant field from an accredited university or college
Minimum 8 years of experience in gas turbine repairs and/or manufacturing operations
Proven experience managing frontline teams and delivering on operational KPIs
Strong working knowledge of Lean tools and operating rhythms, including Kaizen, Daily Management System (DMS), Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and standard work
Strong communication skills in English
Desired Characteristics
Technical understanding of gas turbine component repair processes and equipment
Experience leading transformational improvement initiatives in a repair or manufacturing environment
Demonstrated success facilitating Kaizen events and building continuous improvement capability within teams
Ability to influence, lead change, and drive execution across a dynamic, fast-paced organization
Experience with capacity planning, resource optimization, and operational roadmap execution
Strong collaboration and communication skills across functions and levels.
