Senior Manager - social media | MAF Retail | Corporate Head Office - UAE
ROLE SUMMARY
The Senior Manager - social media is responsible for the social media sub-function at MAF Retail. The role holder will create and deploy the overall multi-market Social Media strategy for our brands, set the KPIs & expectations for the sub-function, provide mentorship & leadership and be the Social Media expert for MAF Retail
ROLE PROFILE
Build, plan and implement the overall Social Media strategy for all MAF Retail brands (including but not limited to Carrefour, HyperMax, Sava and Bright Bites)
Manage & oversee the deployment of the strategy by the relevant markets, while working closely with the UAE as our lead market.
Oversee all the Social Media accounts for all MAF Retail brands
Own the development of a strategic annual Social Media marketing plan andassociated budget across campaigns and channels.
Own the end-to-end implementation of the Influencer and Creator strategy, for all MAF Retail brands.
Work with agencies, publishers, platforms (directly and indirectly) and other partners with the goal to find fast, creative and efficient ways to build, execute and measure innovative Social Media marketing plans that connect with customers, maximize engagement and create sharing, talkability and advocacy.
Lead the strategic direction of content development, ensuring formats, storytelling approaches and platform usage maximise engagement and brand impact, including video, text, still imagery, animation, live action and other content forms that best utilise the technology available on any given Social Media/digital platform.
Ensure consistency of brand voice, tone and storytelling across markets and brands.
Identify emerging cultural, platform and consumer trends and translate them into content opportunities for the business.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field, with strong foundational understanding of brand and digital communication principles.
10+ years of experience leading social media in a large organization or top-tier digital marketing agency; Retail industry experience preferred.
Strong strategic and creative thinking abilities, with a proven capacity to translate insights into impactful Social Media initiatives.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence, align, and collaborate across diverse teams.
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities, demonstrating strong multitasking, problem‑solving, and execution discipline.
High attention to detail, ensuring quality, accuracy, and consistency across all Social Media outputs and processes.
