Job Purpose:
The Senior Manager, Investor Relations role (IR) will be responsible for supporting all Investor Relations activities for the bank. To create the basis for financial reporting and engagement with the Company’s investor and stakeholders’ relationships, through a program of regular interaction to maintain and strengthen the Company’s profile.
IR will work closely with the Head of Finance, CFO and Senior management to ensure high quality financial representations are delivered to the market.
Principal Accountabilities:
Managing the Credit rating agencies and populating and reviewing all Credit Rating submissions and content
Earnings call management
Oversee the production and completion of the Investor Relations Report in conjunction with Financial Reporting and FP&A
Oversee the production of the Annual Report in conjunction with other relevant business verticals
Select IR deck slide preparation and co-ordination
Manages Credit Rating Agency relationships, including excel financial statement submissions and end to end reviews.
Lead the annual EMTN program update process end-to-end, including preparation of the EMTN documents and engagement with external stakeholders like external legal counsels, external auditors, agent banks, rating agencies and stock exchange.
Oversee and run the Debt and Equity Capital Market IR program
Shareholder and bond holder identification with monthly shareholder updates, share price analysis, bond performance analysis and investor slides
Prepare financial debt and equity issuance deck
Monitor analysts’ forecast on an ongoing basis, comparison with the Company’s own forecasts, and work to guide expectations as appropriate
Monitor share price and valuation of the company and ensure compliance with the regulatory requirement of reporting big share movements.
Monitor and review analyst reports on the Company and its peers and highlight any key issues for discussion with Executive Management
Organize investor and credit rating meetings, earnings conference calls, and Run Capital Market Conferences
Support with Writing the investor relations Board reports to ensure Executive Management are up to date with the external financial markets and Rating agencies views and concerns
Undertake all releases and regulatory notifications in line with international best practice and relevant market regulation
Coordinate internal processes to ensure effective communications with external audiences
Support in developing an investor targeting program to provide regular contact with principal bond- and shareholders and key underweight and non-holders
Liaison with external bond- and shareholder identification service providers
Prepare capital markets communications literature and presentations, slide show packs and roadshow materials
Maintaining a database of all investor/broker contact
Sell-side and buy-side interaction together with the Head of Finance and the CFO
Liaise with the company’s retained stockbrokers, investment bankers and financial PR advisors
Participate extensively during the month end close to meet business reporting requirements
Maintenance and update of the IR policy and procedures.
Work on providing input towards the ICD’s annual report.
Coordinate the dissemination of quarterly earnings reports, press releases, and other financial communications to the DFM, SCA and Nasdaq. Ensure financial accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with relevant securities laws and regulations. Maintain transparency and consistency in all investor communications.
Organize the Annual General Meeting (AGM) to facilitate transparent communication between the bank’s management and its shareholders.
Be the key point of contact for the respective markets (DFM, Nasdaq) and regulator (SCA) for disclosure-related letters and communications.
Manage the Investor Relations information on the bank’s intranet and CBD’s market web pages (DFM, Nasdaq, Reuters, Bloomberg) to be up to date.
Support in managing the bank’s Investment Properties portfolio.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
At least 5 years of experience within the required sector
An in-depth understanding of the financial and investment markets
Knowledge of and experience in Financial Reporting, Capital Markets / Corporate IR / financial management
Previous communications experience would be an advantage, acquired either in-house or through a consultancy
Effective communication, presentation and social skills
Qualification: CA, CPA, CFA, CIMA, MBA qualifications may be an advantage but not a specific requirement.
