Job Description

The Senior Manager, FP&A will play a critical role in driving financial performance through robust planning, forecasting, and analysis. This key leadership position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and is responsible for providing strategic financial insights to support executive decision-making across the organization.


Job Responsibilities Will Include:


  • Lead the comprehensive annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to establish realistic and challenging financial targets.
  • Manage and execute regular financial forecasting (e.g., monthly, quarterly, rolling forecasts) and variance analysis against budget and prior periods.
  • Develop and maintain dynamic financial models to evaluate business initiatives, investment opportunities, and long-term strategic plans.
  • Prepare high-quality, insightful executive management reports, board presentations, and performance dashboards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide financial business partnership to operational leaders, offering actionable insights into cost management, revenue trends, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee and analyze capital expenditure planning, tracking, and post-implementation reviews to ensure sound investment returns.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitor performance, and regulatory changes within the Waste Management and Environmental Services sector.
  • Manage and mentor a small team of analysts, fostering a culture of high performance and professional development.


Key Skills and Qualifications Required:


  • Must have Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is highly preferred.
  • Must have 10+ years of progressive experience in finance roles, with significant time spent specifically in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
  • Prior experience in the Waste Management, Environmental Services, Utilities, or a related industrial/service-based sector is a significant advantage.
  • Exceptional proficiency in advanced financial modeling, data visualization tools, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable business recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proven experience presenting to C-level executives and non-finance audiences.
