JOB TITLE

Senior Manager External Communications - Partnerships | Holding | Corporate Communications

Role Summary

The role develops and leads MAF’s external communications to support the Group’s growth ambitions and enhance trust, advocacy, and brand positioning. It manages strategic external platforms and partnerships with government, industry leaders, global forums, and international institutions to elevate MAF’s influence and reputation. Working closely with senior executives, the role aligns thought leadership, corporate reputation, and stakeholder engagement to advance MAF’s strategic narrative.

ROLE PROFILE

  • Responsible for positioning, promoting, and protecting the brand and reputation of MAF within the scope of the role.
  • Partner and align with the wider Corporate Communications team to co-develop and deliver comprehensive engagement activities to achieve organisational and business reputation goals.
  • Build relationships across the functions to ensure an integrated strategy that drives the Company’s ambitions and furthers MAFs strategic goals.
  • Develop an indepth understanding as to the competitive landscape to ensure communications advisory and contribution are relevant, grounded and fitting of the group’s position as a regional market leader and key contributor to global dialogues.
  • Provides strategic counsel and guidance to stakeholders to ensure all relevant communications engagements are in line with MAFs corporate communications strategy, objectives, policies, and guidelines.
  • Support the VP Corporate Communications in contributing to rapid response teams as needed and where necessary to effectively manage reputational challenges, market events or other crisis communications issues.
  • Understand and comply with all applicable content standards, brand guidelines, company policies, and rules.
  • Maintain a good understanding of industry best practice and new technological opportunities that can add business value to enhance our overall employee experience at MAF.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Media and Communications or relevant field is a must.
  • Previous IC inhouse or agency roles with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
  • A highly articulate individual with excellent written communications and confident presentation skills are essential.
  • A proven ability to lead communications strategies, including the supporting digital communications eco-system.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and engage and motivate teams representing diverse backgrounds and viewpoints.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including the ability to present concepts verbally.
