Senior Manager, Development - Centre of Excellence | MAF Properties | Head Office

Role Summary

The SDM is responsible for managing master planning, architecture, and landscape consultants, and overseeing project delivery alongside the Project Management team. Key duties include setting development strategies, conducting feasibility studies, creating business plans, managing budgets, preparing reports and presentations, and defining product mixes. The SDM coordinates across various departments—sales, marketing, legal, and more—and engages with statutory authorities.

ROLE PROFILE

  • Consultant Management: Oversees master planning, architecture, and landscape consultants.
  • Project Delivery: Coordinates with the Project Management team to ensure successful project execution.
  • Strategic Planning: Helps define development visions, strategies, and conducts high-level feasibility studies.
  • Business Planning: Authors project business plans and manages associated budgets.
  • Reporting & Presentations: Prepares professional reports, board papers, and presentations.
  • Product Strategy: Identifies appropriate product mixes for developments.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Works closely with internal teams (sales, marketing, legal, etc.) and external stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Engagement: Liaises with statutory authorities to secure approvals and align with strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or Engineering. MBA or PMP is a plus
  • 12+ years’ experience (minimum 6 years in Real Estate and demonstrated experience in master development)
  • Gulf experience is a must (Dubai experience preferred)
  • Skilled in tools such as AutoCAD, Excel, Estate Master, MS Project, PowerPoint, and other business and design applications.
  • Familiar with full project lifecycle and consultant coordination.
  • Solid understanding of real estate finance, feasibility analysis, business planning, budgeting, and corporate governance.
