2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Manager Continuous Improvement is responsible for developing and executing continuous improvement strategies aligned with the organization’s goals. This role leads the Hoshin Kanri strategic planning process, identifies key improvement areas, manages change initiatives, and measures the impact of projects. The position supports operational efficiency and performance by collaborating with senior executives and cross-functional teams. It includes leadership of a continuous improvement team and requires significant travel. The role is critical to driving operational excellence and sustaining improvement programs across the organization.
3. Responsibilities:
• Facilitate Hoshin Kanri strategic planning and alignment at segment, business unit, or plant levels
• Develop A3 charters with planning leaders to drive initiatives
• Use Value Stream Mapping to identify and reorganize business, logistics, and manufacturing processes
• Lead or serve on project management teams for process improvements and system implementations
• Provide leadership and mentorship to continuous improvement specialists
• Serve as a Lean Trainer and develop others for Lean certification programs
• Analyze processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for optimization
• Lead change management to ensure adoption of improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior executives to secure support and resources
• Partner with plant leadership to sustain performance management programs including Gemba walks and accountability tracking
• Utilize data and KPIs to evaluate improvement success and guide decisions
• Manage a portfolio of improvement projects aligned with organizational goals
• Implement quality control measures to enhance product and service quality
• Maintain documentation of continuous improvement initiatives and outcomes
4. Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Industrial, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, or related field preferred
• 15–20 years of relevant experience required
• 10+ years in Continuous Improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma roles required
• Minimum 4 years in technical leadership with strong management skills required
• Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt certification desired
• Experience implementing continuous improvements and improvement systems
• Ability to lead and influence through teaching and hands-on Lean practices
• Proven time management and prioritization skills
• Results-oriented with a history of delivering outcomes in fast-paced environments
• Process improvement and data analytical skills preferred
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
