Core Duties and Responsibilities

Narrative & Stakeholder Storytelling

  • Turning a mix of business updates into clear storylines people can follow
  • Interview senior leaders and turn what you learn into narratives, scripts, copy, and ghostwritten thought leadership
  • Build and maintain a simple story pipeline: a backlog of strong angles, a steady intake flow, and clear next steps
  • Make sure leadership messages can be repackaged into user-first / social-friendly formats without losing the point

Editorial & Story Craft

  • Define editorial lanes, tone of voice and recurring formats, keeping them aligned to business priorities
  • Write and shape narratives, scripts, treatments, interview guides and outlines for short-form and long-form content
  • Build practical format kits that make series repeatable (hook styles, pacing notes, on-screen text rules, thumbnail guidance, caption patterns
  • Adapt stories for social platforms so they land naturally (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube; TikTok etc)

Production Collaboration & Handover

  • Turn approved narratives and scripts into clear production-ready briefs (what we’re making, why, key messages, shots/inputs needed, and what “good” looks like)
  • Work with our in-house content creator through pre-production, production and post to shape the story, review drafts and keep quality high
  • When work is going to an agency, manage a clean handover: brief them properly, share references and guardrails, review output, and keep it aligned to the original story intent
  • Build and maintain a living reference library (best examples, series “bibles”, templates and learnings)
  • Creative Packaging & Editorial Quality
  • Ensure the content is finished well editorially: strong openings, clear structure, clean copy, and consistent tone
  • Set and apply simple quality checks (clarity, accuracy, brand alignment, promise/payoff, accessibility)
  • Improve retention and watch-through by tightening hooks, pacing and cut points

Capability & Continuous Improvement

  • Coach the wider social team on storytelling basics: writing for screen, interview technique, and platform-native packaging
  • Share learnings through simple what worked / what didn’t examples and lightweight clinics
  • Contribute to monthly reports with the Associate Director – Social; translate performance into practical creative decisions (what to repeat, refine, stop)

Operating Environment

  • Fast-paced role with time-bound deadlines and quick turnarounds, without quality slipping
  • Requires strong communication, attention to detail, and comfort handling multiple workstreams
  • Experience working in (or with) UAE/Government-style stakeholder environments is an advantage

Minimum Qualifications/Education/Experience/Training/Knowledge

  • Degree in Media, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field.
  • Equivalent experience with clear evidence of strong editorial craft may be considered.

Work Experience

  • 5+ years in editorial/content roles (in-house or agency) with a portfolio showing scripts, treatments, and platform-native packaging
  • Proven experience working with senior stakeholders and writing/ghostwriting executive-level content
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with in-house creators and/or agencies across pre-production, production and post (briefs, shot lists, edit reviews)
  • Experience across key channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube; web/newsletters a plus)
  • UAE market experience preferred; agency experience in Dubai/Abu Dhabi is an advantage

Skills And Knowledge

  • Writing & editing: excellent long-form and short-form writing, strong editing discipline.
  • Stakeholder interviewing: able to draw out stories and shape them into publishable narratives
  • Story-to-format translation: can turn one narrative into scripts, social variants, web copy, and production briefs
  • Quality control: fact-checking mindset, version control, approvals hygiene, consistency of tone
  • Creative judgement: understands what makes content work in-feed (hook, pace, clarity, payoff)
  • Analytics literacy: can read platform signals (retention, CTR, saves/shares, comments) and use them to improve creative
