Senior Maintenance Engineer

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is currently looking for highly experienced professional involved in the maintenance of assets. Candidate should have worked in a similar role as a Maintenance Engineer with proven track record of working in critical government infrastructure projects preferably in transportation projects. Prior experience working under a Project Management Consultant (PMC) setup to oversee the works of the Design & Build (D&B) contractors will be a clear plus as this is the current setup where the staff will work. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major metro rail project, ensuring the effective management of the assets. Your role

• Review and approve maintenance plans and schedules submitted by the D&B contractor to ensure they meet project requirements and standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of the contractors maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and safety of the metro rail systems.
• Coordinate with the D&B contractor to integrate maintenance considerations into the project design and construction phases.
• Monitor the contractorsadherence to maintenance policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Analyze maintenance data provided by the contractor to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Support the Project Director with insights and challenges related to the maintenance regime considerations by the D&B contractors.
• Prepare and present reports from a maintenance perspective as part of the regular reporting mechanism to project stakeholders and senior management and the client.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant maintenance regulations and standards.
• Provide training and support to project staff on maintenance best practices and procedures.
  
  

About You

• Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent with experience in Asset Maintenance
• Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in physical security engineering, preferably in rail /metro or strategic government assets projects.
• Proven experience in managing maintenance for large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, technologies, and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• UAE project experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to join quickly is preferred.
