Senior Legal Counsel Commercial Advisory Legal And Recovery Department Legal Division

To lead and deliver high-level legal advisory services across a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial matters, supporting strategic initiatives, complex transactions, and governance frameworks within the Bank. The role ensures legal risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and alignment with enterprise-wide objectives, operating with autonomy and senior-level decision-making authority.

• Lead, draft, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements including intra-group arrangements, outsourcing, joint ventures, shareholder agreements, and service contracts.
• Provide legal counsel on corporate structuring, group reorganizations, and strategic initiatives across UAE and international jurisdictions.
• Advice on governance matters including delegated authorities, board mandates, powers of attorney, and regulatory disclosures.
• Represent the Legal Division in senior-level engagements with internal stakeholders, regulators, and external parties.
• Contribute to Bank-wide initiatives including AI integration, digital transformation, and innovation in banking services.
• Mentor junior legal staff and promote best practices in legal advisory and compliance.
• Minimum 8–10 years post-qualification experience in banking and finance law, preferably with a top-tier law firm or financial institution.
• Proven expertise in corporate and commercial law, financial services regulation, and international banking.
• Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, and mentorship capabilities.
• Law degree from a reputable university; admission to practice in a recognized jurisdiction.
• Postgraduate qualifications (LLM, MBA) are an advantage.
