Senior Leadership Role Procurement Transformation

We are seeking an experienced Head of Procurement Transformation to lead the transformation of procurement across a complex, capital-intensive project environment.

The mandate requires someone who can strategise, implement and measure procurement transformation end to end, spanning processes, systems, governance, supplier management, commercial disciplines and AI-enabled optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the transformation of procurement across major capital projects and programmes.
• Re-engineer the end-to-end procurement chain, including processes, systems, controls and governance.
• Define and implement the procurement transformation roadmap, with clear measures of value and benefits realisation.
• Implement and optimise modern procurement and e-procurement platforms, including Oracle Procurement Cloud, SAP Ariba, Coupa or equivalent.
• Apply GenAI, automation and advanced analytics to improve procurement effectiveness and decision-making.
• Strengthen commercial and contractual disciplines across the procurement lifecycle.
• Improve procurement predictability, cost efficiency, transparency and control.
• Establish and embed procurement governance, policies, operating models and performance measures.
• Own frameworks for supplier, category and third-party/partner management, including selection, evaluation and performance.
• Partner closely with Finance to quantify and track financial benefits generated through transformation initiatives.
• Work with category and sourcing teams to ensure procurement strategy is aligned with wider commercial and organisational priorities.
• Establish KPIs and reporting mechanisms to measure transformation progress and realised value.

What We’re Looking For

• Significant experience across projects/programme procurement, commercial or transformation.
• Strong programme/project management or consulting experience within procurement, supply chain or transformation.
• Demonstrable experience transforming procurement within capital-project environments.
• Proven ability to re-engineer procurement processes from end to end.
• Experience implementing procurement technology such as Oracle Procurement Cloud, SAP Ariba, Coupa or equivalent.
• Evidence of delivering measurable improvements in cost efficiency, procurement predictability and commercial performance.
• Strong supplier, category and third-party management experience.
• Experience establishing procurement governance and operating frameworks.
• Ability to take transformation from strategy through implementation and benefits realisation.
• Practical understanding of how GenAI, automation and analytics can enhance procurement processes and performance.

The Mandate

This is a senior transformation role with accountability for creating a more digitally enabled, commercially disciplined and scalable procurement function supporting major capital programmes.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate measurable value from the transformation programme and ensure improvements are embedded across the organisation.
