We are seeking a Senior Java Developer (Freelance) to join our client’s high-impact team in Dubai. This is a freelance opportunity for elite builders ready to shape the backbone of innovative digital products. What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing, developing, and deploying high-performance, scalable, and reliable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
• Building and maintaining RESTful APIs to support front-end applications and external integrations
• Collaborating with product managers, architects, and fellow engineers to define and implement new features and enhancements
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices and coding standards
• Utilizing Hibernate for object-relational mapping and data persistence
• Working with both relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases for efficient data storage and retrieval
• Participating in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with the team
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in a timely manner
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes and technology stack

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Core Java (Java 8 or higher), with deep understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot framework
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing microservices-based architectures
• Strong proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Solid experience with Hibernate for ORM and data access layers
• Hands-on experience with MySQL and MongoDB databases
• Demonstrated ability to design and build scalable and resilient backend systems

Other Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in Java development
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) preferred
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is advantageous
• Experience with messaging queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka) is a bonus
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Language Proficiency

• Professional proficiency in English is required

Project Framework

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is valued
