About the Position

Driving informed investment decisions through rigorous analysis, market intelligence, and strategic insights.

The Investment Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the Group’s investment strategy by conducting in‑depth financial analysis, evaluating opportunities across asset classes, and monitoring portfolio performance. This role enables senior leadership to make data‑driven decisions that optimize returns and strengthen long‑term value creation.


Key Accountabilities


Investment Research & Financial Analysis

  • Comprehensive Financial Modelling: Perform detailed financial analysis, including cash flow modelling, valuation, debt/equity structures, and project feasibility assessments.
  • Due Diligence Support: Assist senior team members in completing due diligence within agreed timelines, ensuring accuracy and alignment with investment objectives.
  • Market & Sector Research: Conduct deep research on equities, fixed income, and alternative investments, while developing expertise in specific sectors or geographies.
  • Data Interpretation: Analyze financial statements, market data, and economic indicators to generate actionable insights and support investment recommendations.


Portfolio Performance Monitoring

  • Portfolio Evaluation: Monitor assigned portfolios, assess performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement or rebalancing.
  • Market Awareness: Stay updated on global market developments, economic shifts, political events, and industry trends that may impact investment decisions.
  • Risk & Opportunity Assessment: Evaluate portfolio risks, identify undervalued assets, and support the development of value‑enhancing strategies.


Investment Reporting & Communication

  • Reporting Excellence: Prepare investment reports, dashboards, presentations, and commentaries for senior management and internal stakeholders.
  • Clear Communication: Translate complex financial insights into clear, structured narratives that support decision‑making at the executive level.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Engage with internal teams, investor relations, and external consultants to ensure alignment and timely information flow.


Knowledge, Skills, and Aptitude

Educational Qualifications & Certifications

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • CFA designation preferred.


Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of capital markets, asset valuation techniques, and investment processes.
  • Solid grasp of financial statements, ratios, multiples, and peer analysis.
  • Familiarity with hedging tools and fundraising best practices.


Technical Skills

  • Ability to build financial models from scratch.
  • Strong presentation and data visualization skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and financial platforms such as Bloomberg or Refinitiv.


Language Skills

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.


Experience

  • 4–6 years of experience as an Investment Analyst or in a similar role, with a proven track record of generating high‑quality investment insights.
