Job Overview

Our client is looking for a highly driven and detail-oriented Senior Full-Cycle Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy across all financial processes. You will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring financial integrity, and supporting critical reporting cycles.


Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST, (40 work hours per week)


Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP), including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment scheduling
  • Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare and file Sales Tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
  • Lead and execute Month-End Close processes (journal entries, reconciliations, reporting)
  • Support Year-End Close, including audit preparation and financial reporting
  • Perform account reconciliations and identify discrepancies or areas for improvement
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls (e.g., GAAP)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally while maintaining the ability to work independently


Requirements

  • 5+ years of accounting experience (Senior-level exposure required)
  • Strong experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and General Ledger (GL)
  • Experience in Sales Tax preparation
  • Proficiency in the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial analysis)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with high urgency and efficiency
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
