Copenhagen Merchants is growing through our Dubai hub, serving destination markets across the Middle East, North Africa, Asia and related flows. Now we’re looking for a Senior Execution Specialist to help build a strong local execution setup and support the continued growth of the office.

A broker can create a deal — but strong execution is what ensures the best experience to our clients and paves the way for the brokers to continue to trade.

In this role, you’ll coordinate the operational flow of agri-commodity contracts from conclusion to final settlement. You’ll work closely with brokers, clients, counterparties, freight colleagues, finance, service providers and CM execution specialists across our international offices.

In short: you’ll help keep execution calm when the market is not.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll take ownership of professional, timely and reliable execution of brokerage contracts handled through CM Dubai.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Executing assigned agri-commodity brokerage contracts from contract conclusion to completion
• Following up on obligations, deadlines, messages, documents and practical execution steps
• Ensuring smooth communication between buyers, sellers, brokers and service providers
• Spotting missing information, discrepancies and potential problems before they become real issues
• Coordinating shipments, loading/discharge, transport, inspections, certificates and timelines
• Keeping contract, shipment, counterparty and invoicing data accurate and updated in CM’s systems
• Supporting commission invoicing and follow-up on overdue amounts with brokers and finance
• Helping prevent disputes through clear communication, structure and early escalation when needed
• Building strong working relationships with agents, surveyors, shipping contacts, logistics partners and colleagues across CM
• Supporting brokers with contracts, market information and client coordination where relevant

You’ll also help implement a high-quality execution standard in CM Dubai — from contract quality and processes to client advice and smooth correspondence.

Who You Are

You’re an experienced execution or operations profile with solid understanding of agri-commodity trade and GAFTA-based contract execution. You know that in physical trade, details matter: contracts, documents, deadlines, shipments, certificates and counterparties all need to move in the right order — and you enjoy being the person who keeps that flow under control.

We imagine you bring:

• Experience from execution, GAFTA contract management, logistics coordination, shipping operations or commodity operations
• Strong understanding of agri-commodity contracts, documentation, communication flows and practical follow-up
• Experience coordinating contracts, shipments or operational flows across several stakeholders
• Ability to work independently in an international setup
• Strong system discipline, good Excel skills and fluency in English. Extra kudos if you have command of any extra languages of our Black Sea and destination markets.

Experience with FOSFA contracts, vegetable oils, meals, oilseeds, liquid bulk, Black Sea, Middle East / North Africa / Asian flows is a clear advantage.

Most importantly: you are structured, proactive and calm when things start moving fast.

Practical Details

Location: Dubai, UAE

Travel: Approx. 10–20 days per year, especially during the first year for onboarding, training and relationship-building across CM offices
