Senior Engineer - Structural

As a Senior Engineer - Structural, you will be at the forefront of designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of complex structures that are safe, efficient, and sustainable. You will work closely with architects, construction managers, and other engineers to ensure that projects meet required specifications and are completed on time and within budget. Your expertise in structural engineering principles, combined with your leadership abilities, will be essential in guiding your team through various project phases, from conception through to completion. Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process for various construction projects to ensure safety and reliability.
• Conduct detailed structural analyses using software and hand calculations to validate design assumptions.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineers to integrate structural integrity with design aesthetics.
• Manage project timelines and resources to ensure timely progress and delivery.
• Oversee junior engineers and provide guidance and expertise throughout project phases.
• Ensure compliance with local and national building codes and standards in all structural designs.
• Prepare and present technical reports, specifications, and project updates to stakeholders.
• Review and approve drawings, calculations, and structural models before construction initiation.
• Identify potential structural issues and devise innovative solutions to overcome them.
• Coordinate with construction teams to address on-site challenges and modify designs as necessary.
• Maintain detailed documentation of design processes and changes for future reference.
• Foster an environment of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in a senior role.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required for this position.
• Proficient in using structural design and analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or STAAD.Pro.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, structural behavior, and engineering principles.
• Excellent communication skills with proven ability to lead and work collaboratively.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
