Job Description
The Senior Engineer - Structural is responsible for designing, analyzing, and supervising the construction of structures, such as buildings, bridges, and dams. They provide engineering expertise, evaluate project requirements, and develop structural designs and specifications. The senior engineer oversees structural inspections, prepares technical reports, and ensures compliance with relevant engineering codes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop structural designs and calculations for various projects.
- Review project specifications and requirements.
- Prepare drawings and technical documentation.
- Evaluate structural stability and integrity.
- Perform structural analysis using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Oversee construction activities and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Conduct structural inspections and assessments.
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
