Senior Engineer - Fire Safety

The team works in real time to make sure the right people are in the right place – airside and landside – to meet demand. As our airports are the world’s busiest, it’s fast-paced and a real challenge. They see that the operational plan is followed, and issues are dealt with across terminals, regular operations, incidents and crisis handling. The operation has to be industry-leading, and it always is.

What Youll Deliver

• You’ll review and approve Fire and Life Safety submissions, design compliant systems, provide technical support and solutions, drive continuous improvements, and identify innovative advancements.
• You’ll review and approve handover documents and technical specifications, lead inspections and testing to ensure compliance, facilitate building occupancy NOCs, and provide fire safety support to stakeholders.
• You’ll support the development and enhancement of fire safety standards, policies, and guidelines, while analyzing, improving, and leading their implementation across DA facilities.
• You’ll provide technical input to stakeholders on fire and life safety requirements, review documentation, support corrective actions, and assist in audits including GCAA and insurance.
• You’ll deliver fire safety training and awareness programs, support team capability development and training planning, promote best practices, assist in investigations, and conduct risk assessments, inspections, and safety audits.
  
  

What You Bring

• Youll be educated to a bachelor’s degree level in Fire Engineering or a related field.
• You should have 3 – 5 years of relevant experience.
• You should have experience in designing, reviewing, and approving fire safety submissions across architectural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
• You’ll have strong communication and technical writing skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD or similar systems.
