James L Williams Middle East is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior ELV Site Engineer to join our Projects team and lead the successful execution and delivery of mission-critical ELV and Data Centre projects.
This role is responsible for managing the installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of ELV systems while ensuring compliance with company standards, client requirements, and international codes throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, maintaining project quality, and delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the execution, commissioning, and successful delivery of ELV and Data Centre projects from planning through handover.
Develop and implement project execution strategies while ensuring quality control, cost management, and timely project completion.
Manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of Telecom, Structured Cabling, CCTV, Access Control, BMS, Fire Alarm, and other ELV systems.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Review consultant specifications and contract drawings and prepare material submittals for client and authority approvals.
Monitor project progress, identify project risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies to achieve project milestones.
Conduct site inspections to ensure workmanship, materials, and installations comply with project specifications, quality standards, and international codes.
Support data centre infrastructure projects by coordinating power, cooling, and network system activities.
Manage commissioning plans, responsibility matrices, testing & commissioning documentation, training manuals, and as-built drawings.
Liaise with local authorities to secure required approvals at all stages of project execution.
Prepare BOQs, material requisitions, work programmes, subcontractor coordination, procurement follow-ups, and variation valuations.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in ELV system implementation and project execution, preferably within Data Centre, MEP, or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
Strong experience with Telecom, Structured Cabling, CCTV, Access Control, BMS, Fire Alarm, and Integrated ELV Systems.
Experience in project planning, commissioning, testing, client coordination, and project handover.
Knowledge of international standards, authority approvals, and ELV system documentation.
Certifications in Structured Cabling systems (such as Excel, Systimax, R&M, Brand Rex, Opterna, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
Strong project management, risk assessment, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
