Senior DevOps Engineer (Contract – Remote) (225-718)

As a Senior DevOps Engineer on a contract basis, you will be responsible for managing the development and operational needs of our software systems. Your expertise will enhance our deployment pipelines, automate repetitive tasks, and optimize the infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated deployment scripts and systems.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless software releases.
• Monitor system performance and diagnose issues to ensure system reliability.
• Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure services like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to improve system integration processes.
• Enhance security measures and practices throughout the deployment pipeline.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to facilitate application builds and releases.
• Research and integrate new tools to improve DevOps efficiency and automation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers.
• Document processes and create efficient disaster recovery and backup plans.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any systems-related incidents promptly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience in a DevOps engineering role.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• In-depth understanding of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of networking concepts.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup and meet project deadlines.
