Senior DC Assistant

Job Description

Objective:

The position is responsible for executing and overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching goods, while maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely material handling in accordance with operational standards.

Key Responsibility:

Material Handling & Inventory Coordination

• Supervise the accurate receipt, sorting, labeling, and storage of goods as per brand and system specifications.
• Coordinate daily inventory checks and assist in regular cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy.
• Monitor shelf labeling and ensure correct product binning based on barcode scanning protocols.
  
  

• Oversee picking and packing activities to ensure timely and accurate order processing.
• Prepare goods for dispatch in alignment with logistics timelines and brand packaging standards.
• Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or shortages to the DC Supervisor for resolution.
  
  

• Guide and support junior warehouse assistants in task execution and compliance with SOPs.
• Ensure adherence to safety, cleanliness, and organizational standards in work areas.
• Participate in shift handovers and contribute to continuous improvement discussions.
  
  

• Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, moving, and standing for extended hours.
• Operate basic warehouse tools and scanning equipment efficiently and safely.
  
  

• 2-3 years of experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment in a similar role or related position is preferred.
• Strong understanding of inventory management practices, stock checks, and warehouse safety standards.
• Proficiency in product scanning, packing, and dispatch procedures.
