Senior Data Analyst

Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst / Business Analyst to join our Data team as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and our data infrastructure across eyewas omnichannel operations, reporting to the Head of Data. This role will be key in empowering business teams to make data-driven decisions while strengthening the Data teams ability to deliver impactful solutions, directly influencing how eyewa leverages its omnichannel data across 250+ stores in the GCC to drive operational excellence, customer insights, and business growth.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary interface between business teams and the Data function
• Translate business needs and challenges into clear analytical requirements and solutions
• Own end-to-end data quality for analytics and reporting by defining validation frameworks, quality checks, standards, and documentation
• Proactively monitor, audit, and investigate data issues, partnering with Data Engineering to identify root causes, resolve inconsistencies, and improve long-term data reliability
• Scope and plan data initiatives by defining success criteria, feasibility, timelines, and technical requirements in partnership with Data Engineering
• Document business rules and requirements, and support UAT to ensure solutions meet business needs
• Deliver ad-hoc analyses, dashboards, reports, and automated insights aligned with core business KPIs
• Perform exploratory analysis to identify trends and opportunities, documenting methodologies, assumptions, and limitations to support ongoing BI improvement
• Build strong business acumen by developing a deep understanding of Eyewa’s business model, operations, and strategic priorities, including customer segmentation, omnichannel dynamics, inventory, pricing, loyalty, supply chain, and e-commerce trends
• Enable data-driven decision making by sharing business insights with the Data team to shape analytical capabilities and infrastructure, and by actively participating in business review meetings to stay aligned with evolving priorities
• Drive collaboration and capability building by partnering with Data Analysts and Business Analysts across business verticals (marketing, operations, finance, etc.), sharing best practices and methodologies
• Enable scalable and integrated analytics by supporting cross-functional initiatives, contributing to integrated business reporting, and documenting processes and knowledge to build strong, reusable institutional learning

Key Requirement

• 4+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field
• Advanced SQL skills with daily hands-on usage
• Strong Python proficiency for data analysis and automation
• Experience with BI tools and modern data warehouses/databases
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong problem-solving mindset, curiosity, and ownership mentality
• Experience working closely with business domains (retail, e-commerce, or omnichannel preferred
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) is a plus
• Based in (or open to relocating to) the region; strong English communication skills required
