Job Description
- Lead and develop the Corporate Governance function, managing compliance, KYC, and governance professionals.
- Own and enhance the company's governance framework, Board processes, committee structures, and delegated authority models.
- Provide senior oversight of compliance programmes covering sanctions, AML, KYC, anti-bribery, and conduct risk.
- Drive the organisation's ESG strategy, sustainability reporting, responsible trading initiatives, and stakeholder engagement.
- Partner with regulators, auditors, investors, banks, and senior leadership to strengthen governance and risk management practices.
- Champion a culture of ethical decision-making and corporate accountability across the organisation, driving continuous improvement in governance standards and best practices.
- Master's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years' experience across corporate governance, compliance, company secretarial, or related functions, including leadership responsibility.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, statutory compliance, Board governance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience overseeing compliance, KYC/AML, sanctions, or risk management activities within a regulated sector.
- Proven track record in ESG strategy, sustainability reporting, and engaging with senior stakeholders including Boards and regulators.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, navigate complex regulatory environments, and balance commercial objectives with governance and risk considerations.
- Opportunity to shape governance, compliance, and ESG strategy at a senior leadership level.
- High-profile role with regular exposure to executive management, Board members, and external stakeholders.
