Senior Consultant HSE Advisory

Job Description

WSP is seeking Senior Consultant/Engineer- HSE Advisory to join our growing Health & Safety team to work with our Middle East Advisory Services team. The successful applicant will operate within a team of HSE professionals in UAE & KSA, delivering the highest standards of technical work and aiding the continued success of the HSE team by being an integral part of our client-focused delivery of projects. The work will comprise carrying out HSE consulting within the Middle East. You will be joining a well-respected, large, and dynamic team with a wide range of clients across different markets and sectors, including national and local government, industrial, commercial, and scientific sectors.

HSE Strategy and Management System Development and Implementation as well as Behavioral Safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide health and safety consultancy services including development of occupational health management system and standards
• Assist in the development and implementation of occupational health programs
• Develop and deliver occupational health training
• Help Clients comply with health and safety legal requirements and international standards
• Writing high quality report and prepare presentations
• Able to undertake technical analysis and presentations. What are my key relationships?
• Clients, Consultants and Contractors and other parties involved in execution of projects
• A range of organizations invoking occupational health programs and training
• Local regulators enforcing health and safety regulations
• Multi-disciplinary projects involving health and safety
• Corporate health and safety team.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in relevant discipline (Environmental/Chemical Engineering, or a related field).
• 6-10 years of strong professional experience in specific to Health & Safety Engineering management
• Master’s degree and Environment & Sustainability experience is a plus
• Qualification in Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (i.e. NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO, etc.)
• Experience in Digital Tools (i.e., MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Photoshop, etc.
• Experience with Management Consultancies (i.e., Big 4, etc.)
• Experience in QHSSE Strategy, Framework, and Management System Development and Implementation
• Experience in Crisis and Disaster Management and Business Continuity
• Experience in Behavioural Safety and Safety Culture
• Experience in Project Management
• Experience in the Transport Sector (Railway, Metro, etc.)
• Experience in the Utility Sector (Water, Power, Electricity, etc.)
• Experience in Critical Infrastructure Facilities (Industry, Manufacture, etc.)
• Experience in the field of occupational health and industrial hygiene across different industries advising on occupational health issues.
• Affiliation to recognised professional membership bodies for health and safety.
• Good knowledge of developing and implementing occupational health standards.
• Ability to work across multiple disciplines and a flexible mindset to working.
• Excellent written English and verbal communication, presentation and organizational skills.
• Experience of working on multiple projects, simultaneously.
