About the Direct Tax Service Line

The Direct Tax team provides comprehensive corporate and international tax advisory, compliance, and planning services. We help businesses navigate complex regulations, structure transactions for optimal tax outcomes, and manage risks through tailored strategies. Leveraging global expertise, we deliver practical solutions for accurate reporting, efficient tax planning, and sustainable growth.

As a Senior Consultant some of your responsibilities will include:

Corporate Tax: 

• Assisting the management in the interpretation of the CT Act, planning and restructuring
• Overseeing the verification of assessments, statements of account and surcharge notices for accuracy and highlighting any anomalies
• Liaising with authorities regarding tax and social security queries and responding in an efficient and timely manner, developing knowledge over time and increasing confidence to deal with more complex issues
• Acting as an ambassador of the firm, building relationships and promoting the firm at every opportunity to facilitate new business opportunities
• Co-ordinating with other colleagues locally and globally to deliver international taxation engagements
• Consulting with the Partner and management on technical and risk matters

• Providing innovative tax planning consulting, and compliance expertise to clients while managing to budget
• Working closely with our transaction services colleagues, focusing on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, and other transaction related activities
• Performing analysis of a client’s tax attributes surrounding certain business events including tax basis of assets and stock, tax accounting for M&A driven transaction costs and corporate earnings and profits
• Monitoring client WIP and ensuring a positive contribution is made to departmental billings
• Co-ordinating with other colleagues locally and globally to deliver International and M&A Tax engagements
• Following risk management and compliance procedures and consulting with the management team on technical and risk matters
• Involving in researching tax issues, preparing written communication in a succinct and deal-driven manner, helping clients with responses to tax authorities, and assisting clients in strategizing on the tax aspects of the transactions
