Job Description

The Senior Construction Project Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires a seasoned professional who is adept at coordinating cross-functional efforts, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and adhering to stringent budget and timeline constraints. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership qualities, enabling them to guide and motivate project teams effectively. Responsibility for maintaining strong client relationships, minimizing risks, and delivering projects that meet or exceed client expectations is integral to this role. The Senior Construction Project Manager must be highly proficient in negotiation and problem-solving, with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and implementation of construction projects from start to finish.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to ensure timely completion and high quality.
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of subcontractors and onsite personnel.
  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant building codes and safety regulations.
  • Manage project budgets, negotiate contracts, and oversee financial transactions.
  • Monitor daily progress, prepare progress reports, and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients to ensure their needs are met.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to prevent and mitigate them.
  • Implement best practices for project management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to drive innovation and productivity.
  • Lead hiring, training, and performance evaluation processes for project staff.
  • Resolve conflicts swiftly and efficiently, maintaining a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction project management roles.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, codes, and standards.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing large, diverse teams.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience managing contract relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management software and other related tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
