Senior Business Systems Analyst

2. About the Opportunity:

The Senior Business Systems Analyst serves as a key liaison between business units and the technology department, translating business needs into technical requirements and ensuring their alignment with organizational goals. This role balances strategic and tactical priorities, supports project teams, and drives solutions that reduce operational risks and improve system performance. The position is vital for connecting business challenges to technology solutions and ensuring those solutions deliver measurable value.

3. Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and analysis to identify business technology needs and improvement opportunities

• Collaborate with technology users to gather and synthesize business systems requirements

• Develop detailed business requirements documents, user stories, process maps, and technical specifications

• Communicate requirements and system analysis artifacts to project and product teams and business users

• Provide and manage a requirements management plan to track and control requirements

• Build and maintain relationships across the organization to align business unit strategies

• Engage with business units to assess potential projects and initiatives for strategic fit and viability

• Lead development of scope-level requirements and business case justifications, including cost-benefit analysis

• Act as liaison between business and technical teams to ensure clear communication and collaboration

• Support project managers, solution leads, quality assurance, and sponsors with stakeholder management and project updates

• Guide solution developers and testers through the project lifecycle

• Assist with change management strategies including system adoption, communication, and training materials

• Understand project methodologies to provide effort estimates, schedules, and dependency information

• Identify and analyze business problems and collaborate on solution design and implementation

• Evaluate solution impact and recommend optimal actions

• Document and communicate problem statements, solutions, and implementation activities

• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities in business processes and systems

• Assess implemented solutions and recommend enhancements

4. Requirements:

• Seven to ten years of experience in business systems analysis

• Strong critical thinking skills and goal orientation

• Curiosity and desire to learn
