The Senior Business Development Manager in the General Insurance industry is a key leadership role responsible for driving business growth and expanding the company's market presence. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities within the general insurance sector.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key industry stakeholders and clients.
  • Lead and manage a team of business development professionals to optimize sales performance.
  • Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to enhance and diversify the insurance portfolio.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts and reports for senior management review.
  • Coordinate and participate in industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of effective sales pitches and presentations.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts in alignment with the company's goals and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is required.
  • At least 8 years of experience in business development or sales in general insurance.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in competitive markets.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are mandatory.
  • Ability to analyze data, forecast trends, and develop actionable business strategies.
  • Adept at building and maintaining long-term relationships with industry stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other industry-relevant technology tools.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
