Senior Associate Ground Operations

External Job Description

FADA is seeking a young engineer to join our ground segment and operations team. The candidate will support the development, integration and operation of FADA's satellite ground stations and mission planning systems. This role suits an early-career engineer with exposure to spectrum management, ITU regulatory processes and satellite pass analysis, who will grow into a key contributor across our Earth Observation missions.

Responsibilities

Support ground station development, integration and acceptance activities including RF chain verification, link performance analysis and interference assessment.

Perform mission planning activities including satellite pass analysis, contact scheduling, access time computation and station visibility studies using Ansys STK.

Support spectrum management and ITU regulatory activities including frequency coordination, preparation of filing inputs using tools such as SpaceCap

Produce and maintain technical documentation including analysis reports, test procedures, requirements traceability and operational documentation.

Support mission operations preparation including SVT campaigns, ground segment rehearsals and commissioning activities.

Coordinate with satellite operations, flight dynamics and network teams to ensure reliable pass execution and data acquisition.

Must have skills

Degree in Aerospace, Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering.

Working knowledge of Ansys STK for satellite pass visualization, access time analysis and mission planning studies.

Familiarity with RF link analysis fundamentals including link budgets.

Exposure to ITU regulatory framework and filing tools and spectrum coordination processes for LEO missions.

Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.

Analytical thinking, structured working methods and ability to operate in a multi-disciplinary team.

Good to have skills

Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink for engineering analysis.

Understanding of Earth Observation mission operations including tasking workflows and data acquisition constraints.
