Senior Associate Debt Capital Markets UAE National Only

Job Purpose

Assist in structuring, executing and originating Debt Capital Market transactions as a key offering within Mashreq Investment banking Division

Key Result Areas

Origination

• Support the Senior team members with their active pitch pipeline, regular client pricing updates and the weekly update produced by the team for internal and external sage.
• Remain abreast of market dynamics and relevant news, on a real time basis, which may be of interest to clients
• Keep updated and provide the necessary information used in materials & databases of relevant information viz: issuance to date, news, markets, league table, other DCM related statistics to promote Mashreq DCM
  
  

Execution

• Work with Senior team members on necessary DCM documentation
• Work with external resources to ensure a high-quality offering circular in the private or public market as warranted.
• Assist the team, DCM Head and Investment Banking Head in preparation of any internal pitches or materials that may be required from time to time
  
  

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

• Solid quantitative skills
• Solid presentation skills with experience of such presentations internally and/or externally
• A proactive and energetic personality with the ability and desire to multitask across both development and execution areas
• The candidate will have a minimum of 2 years in Investment or Corporate Banking
• Assist in the origination, structuring, and execution of debt capital market transactions.
• Conduct thorough financial analysis and due diligence on potential clients and transactions.
• Prepare comprehensive investment banking proposals and presentations for clients.
• Maintain and update financial models and projections for transactions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Liaise with legal and compliance teams to address any legal or regulatory concerns.
• Support the team in managing multiple transactions simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate and institutional clients.
• Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Banking, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking or corporate banking.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on client presentation.
• Experience in dealing with corporate or institutional clients is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Full-time availability to work in Dubai, UAE.
