Job Purpose

Established in 1985 as the airfreight division of Emirates, Emirates SkyCargo is the largest international cargo airline in the world! We are looking for supply chain and logistics professionals ready to support Emirates SkyCargo as our organisation continuously increases its cargo capacity and develops specialised products to meet the growing needs of customers.

As a Senior Assistant Trainer, you will deliver training programmes to a multicultural audience within the Emirates Group and its strategic partners, and to support the L & D Officers/ Admin Officer in the professional development of Operators. All training must be aligned to corporate objectives and businesses plans, and comply with National and International standards and regulations as appropriate.

In this role, you will;

  • Support the L & D Officers/ Admin Officer in liaising with the departments on the different training requirements for a specific area of responsibility, providing information on existing appropriate training courses.
  • Job holder will be responsible for:
  • Conducting operations TNA
  • Course design standards
  • Course admin standards
  • Course delivery standards
  • Quality Audits
  • Maintaining Training Records & Data entry in central training system.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with the standards, policies and procedures established by Emirates Aviation College (Group Learning & Development)/ dnata Training while working in close liaison with L & D teams in respective training areas.
  • Deliver a range of training courses relevant to the area of trainer expertise (vehicles/equipments), to a multicultural audience, ensuring alignment with standards regulations and corporate objectives and competencies.
  • Upon completion of the training course, provide course completion reports and ensure the same is recorded and updated by the administrative staff for quick and easy future reference and validating licences.
  • Deliver when required tailor made products, on specific equipments, to 3rd party organisations and EK Group strategic business partners.
  • Support and assist L & D officers/ Admin Officer in analysing training reports so as to identify training and development issues, to highlight potential problems and opportunities.
  • Ensure emphasis is given on Safety aspects in the briefings & Training Schedules, educate every operator on the Dos and Donts in line with Safety policy Manuals.
  • Recommend ways and means to improve and enhance training in the relevant area of expertise to ensure improved efficiency levels of on job trainings.
  • In Consultation with L&D officer/ Admin Officer evaluate new vehicles/equipments and make necessary changes into the Training programme to address these changes. Conduct regular refresher trainings for Operators and keep them updated on any change in operating procedures.

Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below;

  • 12 years schooling or equivalent
  • 3 years experience in operating equipment by type, minimum 6 months operating as an On Job Trainer
  • Should have passed Grade 4 English language test, attended On Job Trainers Course from a recognised Training Agency
  • Should hold a ADP
  • Arabic or any other Asian Language is an advantage.
