Your New Role

As our Senior Applications Analyst, you will be accountable for the lifecycle management, support and enhancement of Development Victoria’s application portfolio and the delivery of innovative technology solutions in alignment with business needs and the ICT strategy.

Your manager has over 20 years’ experience in IT. She focuses on helping the team understand system behaviour through incident patterns, trend analysis and proactive improvements. She is supportive, structured and fosters a collaborative, team-oriented environment. She will empower you to contribute and grow in the role and with the team.

This role is a hybrid, ongoing opportunity – there is a mix of working from our office in Melbourne CBD and working from home. We work flexibly at Development Victoria.

Core Accountabilities

  • Collaborate on the ownership of the applications portfolio including upgrades, lifecycle-planning, licence/subscription renewals and agreements.
  • Act as a referral point for operational processes, issues and questions within the Applications Support team and wider business.
  • Provide support to ICT projects in the areas of evaluation, business-case development, implementation, testing and integration of new applications.
  • Manage and document system improvement suggestions; gather and document requirements for approval and execution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any problems with business application software.
  • Provide support to business users in the correct use applications, managing these using Development Victoria’s incident system.
  • Investigate and diagnose application faults, performing root cause analysis when appropriate and providing suitable solutions.
  • Enhance the availability, performance and stability of services as well as automating repetitive work.

About You

Desired Skills and Experience

You bring strong experience across business applications, including platforms like TechnologyOne and Nintex, along with Microsoft 365 and their Power Platform, and have a solid understanding of how technology supports business outcomes. You’re proactive and naturally driven to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, always thinking about how Development Victoria can work smarter and more effectively. Comfortable presenting options and solutions, you take ownership of key platforms and are keen to get involved in upgrades and migrations. You also enjoy building relationships and engaging with stakeholders across the business.
