We are looking for a driven Senior AOR/Project Coordinator to join our team - Architect background to help our design cordination/project management and AOR activities.


Qualifications

Bachelors of Masters Degree in Architecture.

Minimum 10 years of experience.

Dubai Municipality (DM) G+ Unlimited Certificate highly preferred.

Sound knowledge and experience in design development and dealing with local authorities.

Aware about authority procedures and guidelines.


Business Development

Starting to win and develop new clients with annual targets to be agreed.

Be an ambassador for company/brand at all times and build business with existing clients

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key clients and partners, potential key targets and ensure the delivery of a responsive and professional service

Ability to represent 9E at new project interviews.

Prepare draft fee proposal and review with the Director for final approval and arrange for submission to the client.

Develop business with existing clients and ensure regular feedback is received

Review all key projects within own area of responsibility and proactively engage with clients and partner groups to gather feedback and deliver service improvement initiatives


Project Role

  • Takes lead in technical matters of assigned project(s) or team up with other Senior Architects for design development.
  • Provide design solutions and ensure compliance to local authority regulations and codes. Design development / detailed design and technical coordination between all disciplines.
  • Review the design from Authority perspective and against SBC code and MOMRA guidelines
  • Lead or assist other lead Architects in design development (concept / detailed design) Review / preparation of authority submissions and follow up to obtain timely approvals.
  • Keep updating the team about all local authorities regulations and record keeping of the same. Attending technical discussions at Municipality, dealing with authorities, design review and compliance with all the relevant code / authority.
  • Assist project manager to achieve accuracy while planning and scheduling in accordance to resource planning and project deadline.
  • Dealing with suppliers and contractors in accordance to project planning and Project Managers Detail design and supervision of the assigned draughts men and make necessary review, correction and guidelines with respect to agreed bench mark.
  • Traveling to site(s) to complete physical inspections and site surveys.
  • Specification writing up to date knowledge of materials and their applications.
  • Collaborate with other team members to determine design needs and requirements for the project.
  • Evaluation of project scope of works and assist in the preparation of proposals.
  • Arrange meetings to review proposals and plans, making modifications or revisions as required.
  • Prepare and maintain project documents like correspondence, minutes of meeting, notes etc.
  • Allocation, distribution and follow up of task within the team, checking of works produced.
  • Works closely with relevant external parties and clients to ensure timely delivery according to plan.
  • Assist HR in technical interviews during recruitment of staff in Architectural department. Keep on learning new skills such as Revit Architecture, updated information and take necessary trainings as per modern practices in the relevant field and share with team and other disciplines organization wide.
  • Coordinate with department heads and obtain manning levels.
  • Review and comment on the consultancy agreement for the full scope of services. Ensure projects confirm to contract.
  • Create project execution plans for all projects to track progress.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Ensure QA/QC procedures are properly implemented and maintained by project members
  • Manage Client interface issues and establish a Change Management process to manage variations to Scope of Services
  • Manage the appointment or coordinate with external consultants or sub consultants for the flawless execution of projects
  • Involvement in developing the design management plan for each design stage, management of all phases of design throughout project scope (including set-up, design and close out).
  • Reviewing the design deliverables to ensure that they are complete and meet the standards required for each stage/agreement
  • Be the main point of reference with day-to-day communications with clients and sub consultants on your respective projects
  • Prepare, review and update risk register to identify and mitigate major risks to the project.
  • Negotiate and agree with the client on terms of Letter of Award or Consultancy Agreement.
  • Ensure to create and communicate clear and attainable project objectives and project requirements
  • Report any potential problems or risks to the project director as needed in order to mitigate any issues in future.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Management contract fees against in house disciplines and sub-consultants
  • Manage teamwork plans and communication protocols for respective projects
  • Update risk register and escalate any risks to formal correspondence
  • Monitor and control project fees and invoicing
  • Liaise with Project Managers/ Department Heads and issue payment requests to clients.
  • Prepare conditions of construction contracts for client’s approval and negotiate them with contractors
  • Coordinate with other regional offices to share resources for delivery of large scale projects.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.


Company Role

  • Contribute to the development of the company systems by reviewing existing procedures and commenting using the feedback system.
  • Take part in task groups and represent team that you are working in.
  • Attend team meetings and provide feedback on your/company development.
  • Applying policies relating to health & safety, quality and training.


QHSE Responsibilities

  • Understand, implement and follow 9E QHSE policies.
  • Implement and coordinate QHSE procedures in your workplace.
  • Comply with local regulatory authority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE.
  • Report any QHSE incidents immediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required.
  • Abide Client/Contractor QHSE requirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites.
