Join our dynamic financial team as a Senior Accountant, where your expertise and attention to detail will be key to maintaining our company's financial health. As a Senior Accountant, you will take on a central role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations, and providing valuable insights through financial analysis. Your responsibilities will include managing complex financial reports, coordinating audits, and contributing to financial strategy development. You will be guiding junior accountants, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving process improvements. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly financial close activities and reports.
  • Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements according to management policies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations by studying existing and new legislation.
  • Lead and support audits by providing information and answering auditor inquiries.
  • Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information to the management team for decision-making purposes.
  • Advice and implement new processes and policies to improve financial efficiency.
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff to enhance their professional development and performance.
  • Handle ad-hoc finance-related projects or tasks as requested by management.
  • Monitor and manage company cash flow and ensure sufficient resources are available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience within the financial industry.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or relevant certification is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to foster sustainable relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
