Position: Senior Accountant

Salary: $90-$110K – 12 Month Contract – Possible Perm

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading manufacturing & distribution organization to hire a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, inventory accounting, and operational finance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with multi-entity experience who thrives in a fast-paced, plant-focused environment and enjoys working closely with operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Close & Reporting

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
• Prepare journal entries, financial schedules, and account reconciliations
• Analyze revenue, cost of sales, operating expenses, and capital expenditures with detailed variance analysis
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  
  

• Prepare monthly inventory valuation for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
• Partner with plant operations to support inventory controls, costing accuracy, and operational reporting
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within finance and operations
  
  

• Prepare cash and banking reconciliations and reporting
• Maintain lease schedules and ensure accurate accounting treatment
  
  

• Assist with ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects as required
  
  

• CPA designated (or actively pursuing)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong experience in manufacturing and multi-entity environments is highly preferred
• Experience with ERP systems (Navision an asset) and advanced Excel skills
• Solid understanding of financial reporting, inventory accounting, and internal controls
  
  

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally with operations and finance teams
• Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain financial information clearly
