Senior Accountant

Overview

As the Senior Accountant / Finance Officer, you will report directly to the Finance Director and collaborate closely with the Admin, Sales & Marketing, and Operations teams. You will also prepare reporting for senior management and the board. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance across multiple countries, and supporting the agency’s financial health and growth.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet).
• Reconcile bank accounts, vendor and client accounts, and intercompany transactions.
• Ensure timely recording of accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
• Manage monthly client invoicing.
• Prepare group-level financial consolidation.

VAT & Regulatory Compliance

• Prepare and submit VAT in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Ensure adherence to UAE corporate tax and accounting standards.
• Maintain proper documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.
• Prepare Master File for Transfer Pricing. 
• Coordinate and manage service providers in KSA and Lebanon.

Payments & Cash Flow Forecasting 

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently.
• Follow up on client payments to ensure timely collections.
• Maintain weekly cash flow reporting and anticipate funding gaps.
• Provide proactive solutions for cash management.

Internal Controls & Audit

• Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls.
• Coordinate with external auditors during statutory audits (standalone and consolidation)
• Recommend improvements to financial policies and procedures.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with marketing, operations to track campaign expenses and prepare monthly invoicing.

Systems & Process Improvement

• Maintain and optimize accounting systems (Zoho Books, Zoho Analytics).
• Identify opportunities for automation and process efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a marketing, media, or service-based industry.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and corporate compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Zoho Books) and MS Excel.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Proactive, with a strong sense of ownership.
• Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus. 
• Experience working in an international environment.
