Senior Accountant Accounts Payable - French Speaker

Fundamental Hospitality is looking for a Senior Accountant with a strong focus on Accounts Payable to join our Head Office team in Dubai. This role is critical in managing end-to-end payable functions across multiple international markets, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. We are seeking someone with solid industry experience (hospitality preferred but not essential), who brings senior-level AP expertise and exposure to multi-country operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full Accounts Payable cycle across multiple entities and regions
• Manage supplier invoices, payment runs, reconciliations, and aging reports
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments in line with company policies
• Maintain strong controls and compliance with internal procedures and international standards
• Liaise with internal stakeholders (Operations, Procurement, Finance) to resolve discrepancies
• Handle vendor relationships and ensure smooth communication across markets
• Support month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations
• Monitor cash flow related to payables and provide insights to management
• Assist with audits and ensure proper documentation and reporting
• Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements within the AP function

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Accounting, with a strong focus on Accounts Payable
• Proven experience at a senior level within an industry environment (audit-only backgrounds will not be considered)
• Exposure to multi-country operations (Europe, GCC – e.g. France, Saudi Arabia)
• Strong understanding of international payment processes, currencies, and compliance
• Fluency in French and/or Arabic is highly preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus
