Senior Accountant (225-728)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing our company's accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy of financial information, and compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial reports, performing complex reconciliations, and leading the month-end and year-end closing processes. Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of the general accounting function.
• Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate and execute month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Ensure the timely and accurate reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Analyze financial data to support decision-making processes.
• Monitor and supervise junior accountants and provide mentorship as needed.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
• Liaise with external auditors and assist in audit preparation processes.
• Perform detailed variance analysis to identify discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Maintain and update the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure adherence to financial regulatory requirements and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• A minimum of five years of accounting experience in a senior role.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is strongly preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team and mentor junior staff.
